Yan Ee
Yan Ee began dancing at 5 years old, under the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) for Ballet, and Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) for jazz.
At 14, she started contemporary dance, and at 18 diversified into hip-hop training under An An.
A few of her notable accolades during her competitive dance seasons include Super 24 with her alumni dance club, The Passionate Dancing Elders, and 2nd placing in Arena Singapore 2019 with Baseline. Through the years, her approach to dance has been influenced by Anouk van Dijik’s Countertechnique, where she attended a few of their intensive sessions in Melbourne and Hong Kong.
Yan Ee is a firm believer that dance can bring healing, a place of contemplation, and self-discovery. She attributes her journey to many beloved mentors and friends who have provided opportunities for her to develop her continual love for dance.
She advocates movement for everyone, no matter where they are, they will surely find a safe space within dance movement itself.
She values the unique qualities of every person and aspires to bring out the best in each of her students. No single individual can have the same dance journey, and she desires to help them start on their own unique discovery.
