A LITTLE MORE INFO…
When you join TLE, you’ll be placed into one of our curriculum levels based on your experience and pace. Placement is determined during our free tryouts.
Each level includes weekly 1.5-hour training sessions led by your dedicated TLE class instructor, with a focus on foundations, drills, choreography and performance readiness.
-
A1 is for dancers with zero experience. This level focuses on building confidence, musicality, and comfort moving your body in a supportive environment.
Classes introduce basic grooves, coordination, rhythm, and beginner vocabulary through fun drilling, games, partner work, and group energy. Students learn textures and counting in simple, playful ways while developing openness, curiosity, and the courage to try without fear.
By the end of A1, you’ll feel comfortable with foundational grooves, have better coordination and musicality, and be confident following beginner-friendly choreography in a safe, encouraging environment.
-
A2 builds on A1 foundations while deepening your love for dance. Students expand vocabulary, improve execution across more challenging choreography, and begin intentional use of dynamics and transitions. Light freestyle prompts help students explore movement without pressure. A2 also nurtures self-awareness through reflection, observation, and peer-led learning.
By the end of A2, you’ll be able to handle longer choreography with clearer execution, understand how to use dynamics, and show stronger creativity and confidence when dancing.
-
B1 marks the shift from beginner to intermediate. Students develop precision, cleanliness, stamina, and consistency. You’ll learn how to train effectively outside class, self-correct, and give/receive feedback. The mindset focus is on responsibility, resilience, and delayed gratification — building the habits that create long-term dancers.
By the end of B1, you’ll demonstrate cleaner foundations, better stamina, improved body control, and the ability to self-train and apply feedback with intention.
-
B2 develops versatility, movement quality, and consistency across different instructors and styles. Students begin practising leadership through peer coaching, sharing practice strategies, and supporting junior dancers. This level builds self-leadership, initiative, and accountability — becoming someone who trains with purpose whether or not someone is watching.
By the end of B2, you’ll dance with stronger quality and versatility, take initiative in your own training, and confidently support or guide others in a positive, growth-oriented way.
-
C focuses on exploration, individuality, and artistic voice. Students are exposed to new genres and concepts, deep dive into musicality and interpretation, and begin forming their own movement vocabulary. Freestyle, concept creation, and reflection activities help dancers understand who they are as artists and movers.
By the end of C, you’ll have a clearer sense of your personal style, the confidence to explore multiple genres, and the ability to express your own story through movement and performance.

Mass TLE & Dance Camps
-
Mass TLE is a session whereby students of all levels and classes gather for an event! In the past years’ we have had mass movie screenings, treasure hunts and carnivals.
These sessions are for our TLE students to attend~ Sometimes we even invite our TLE alumni to these events as well!
-
Annually, Legacy holds two dance camps depending on each dancer’s curriculum level; a Bonding Camp and an Intensive Camp.
Dance camps are usually 3 days long.
In Legacy’s Bonding Camps, our TLE students come together to have fun and meet other like-minded dancers. Through our Bonding Camps, dancers are able to find and forge friendships within the dance community that continues to inspire and push them to greater heights.
In Legacy’s Intensive Camps, our TLE students are exposed to different elements of dance. This Intensive Camp focuses on expanding one’s dance vocabulary and pushing one’s individual skillsets. Legacy often brings in external and overseas instructors to conduct our Intensive Camps, bringing in international knowledge into our studios.
On top of dance workshops, we will introduce other elements that come together with dance as well. In the past years, we have had workshops by a local make up artist to teach our students how to put on basic makeup before a performance.
Bonus Opportunities
-
Our term projects are meant to provide opportunities beyond the scope of ordinary dance classes to our students, to give them a more varied and comprehensive learning experience.
Such bonus projects potentially include video shoot projects that expose our students to the other elements of dance and provide them with the platform to explore and express themselves, regardless of their level of dance. Dancers get to learn a set choreography and perform it in front of a camera rather than simply a mirror, encouraging theatrics and the performance elements of their dance. -
We also occasionally host internals battles hosted for our TLE students to showcase their skills learnt in a freestyle setting. Our TLE dancers get to explore movement in a unique way apart from regular choreography, as well as learn and gain inspiration from other dancers.
CO-EXIST (Legacy’s Bi-annual Recital)
-
CO-EXIST is Legacy’s bi-annual recital for all TLE students to showcase their skills and explore choreography on a performance stage. It is a production that showcases each dancer’s culmination of knowledge, skills, and expertise honed and developed over the course of their TLE programme.
-
Every CO-EXIST comes with new themes, new performance opportunities and new dancers ready to wow the stage.
Every dancer will perform in one item from their respective TLE curriculum level (A1, B1, B2 etc). They also are encouraged to audition to join other open dance item to explore learning from a different instructor and explore new styles of movement on a big stage.
Through a rigorous 4-months journey, dancers will learn how to express themselves and their learned craft through movement and formations.
Teaching Opportunities
-
If you’re interested in being a dance instructor/mentor, consider joining Legacy’s Trainee Crew via TLE!
As a TLE dancer progresses through their dance journey and their TLE programme, if they are deemed to be exceptional in not only their dance, but also in character and leadership ability, they are given the chance to join Legacy’s Trainee Crew, in which they get to learn how to lead as a dance instructor and receive practical teaching experience.
Through our teaching opportunities, you can develop communication, leadership and class-management skills. TLE bridges a pathway from being a dancer to becoming a dance educator.
Selection is purely up to Legacy’s discretion.
