Our coming intake is suitable for dancers who are new and are looking to explore street dance basics [A class] as well as dancers who have some prior experience in dance [A advanced or B class].

TLE PROJECTS

All our students are exposed to several performance opportunities throughout the year.

Weekly dance trainings

3-6 months of weekly classes per semester. Each class will be 1.5 hours long. Find out more about the class duration specific to each level in the syllabus link below.

mass TLE & dance camps

Mass TLE is a session whereby students of all levels and classes gather for an event! In the past years’ we have had mass movie screenings, treasure hunts and carnivals.
These sessions are free for our TLE students to attend~ Sometimes we even invite our TLE alumni to these events as well!
Dance camps are usually 3 days long, where students are exposed to different elements of dance. On top of dance workshops, we will introduce other elements that come together with dance as well. In the past years, we have had workshops by a local make up artist to teach our students how to put on basic makeup before a performance.

Our term projects are meant to provide opportunities beyond the scope of ordinary dance classes to our students, to give them a more varied and comprehensive learning experience.

We have video shoot projects, freestyle dance battles, internal showcase dance competitions and our annual dance recital, CO-EXIST! These term projects are conducted to help expose our students to the other elements of dance and provide them with the platform to explore and express themselves, regardless of their level of dance.

TLE TRYOUTS

Our TLE tryouts are meant for any (aspiring) dancers who are interested in The Legacy Experience dance programme! During the tryouts, we will conduct a dance session and a briefing regarding our TLE programme, its programme structure, fees and upcoming projects. Based on the dance session, we will recommend you to sign up for either A1 or B class.

There are NO prerequisites to attend our free tryout session. If you would like to get a better idea of how our tryouts are like, check out the videos below!

We take in a new batch of A class students quarterly and a new batch of B class students biannually.

Ricole Sim (Batch 2)

Thanks to the opportunities offered by LDC, I was able to participate in my first dance competition, my first recital, my first battle and also my first collaboration class. Together with some of my peers I have met in TLE, I was able to understand the joy of dance and grow both as a dance and a person.

Chang Zixuan (Batch 6)

My main goal when I first started TLE in LDC was just to pick up a passion that I dropped several years ago. I joined TLE to learn dance alone, but i gained a family to dance with instead.

I had the opportunity to perform, compete, join dance battles and even teach collab classes under heartfelt guidance of accomplished choreographers. But the true joy of it all was finding a family in this dance community.

LDC was where I started learning how to dance properly. Through the TLE curriculum, I was able train and drill on my basics on proper ground as well as experience and further understand the history of the different dance genres.

TLE is a place more than dance. At the start, I was hesitant to join TLE or my school dance CCA and I chose to join TLE. I have never regretted that decision. I started proper dancing through TLE with little to almost no basic techniques.

Without the instructors here at LDC, I would have definitely been lost in this dance journey of mine. These mentors and instructors are people with genuine hearts for those that are around them, constantly grooming and pushing us to be our best selves.

The TLE program has properly taught me the foundations and knowledge of street dance and throughout the journey I’ve learnt to be more aware of my movements and have discovered my dance style. It has been a constant learning curve since day one. To date, I am still grateful to have started my dance journey here with LDC. I could never imagine how my dance journey would be like if it wasn’t for the safe and nurturing environment provided here.

TLE has helped me gain back my love for dance after losing it when I graduated from Polytechnic and got busy in Army. Through the TLE programme, I’ve learned the necessary foundations and lessons needed to push my craft further.

Marcus Ting (Batch 4)

TLE gave me the opportunity to join a club that gave me a place to call home and a group of people to call family and push the boundaries together through training for dance. It's been a fun journey up till this now and at this point there's only one way and that's up!

It was soon after that I chanced upon the TLE programme, where it provided an environment for me to learn dance in a structured way.

The instructors are also very friendly and patient in teaching dance. Throughout the structured TLE programme, the instructors always tried their best to give you personal feedbacks on you could work on your craft as dancer.

Paige Sia (Batch 1)

I was relatively new with no solid foundations and TLE provided a really safe and warm place for me to train up my foundations and discover myself as a human and as a dancer.

The fire started when I saw my friends perform in CO-EXIST, leading me to sign up for TLE because I “wanted to be as cool as them”. Signed up expecting simple dance foundation, learning steps to a choreography, and a chance to be on stage - but got so much more than I could have expected.
